Pete Hegseth's history of serious financial mismanagement, sexual misconduct, and drunken unprofessional behavior while leading veterans organizations raises grave concerns about his fitness to serve as Secretary of Defense. Reports of him being intoxicated on the job, harassing female staffers, and demonstrating a lack of judgment and oversight disqualify him from leading the world's most powerful military. The Defense Department requires steady leadership and strict accountability, qualities Hegseth seems to lack based on the documented incidents. For the well-being of our armed forces and national security interests, it would be incredibly unwise to entrust him with such immense responsibility overseeing nuclear weapons, combat operations, and the lives of our brave servicemembers. His nomination poses an unacceptable risk and should be firmly rejected to uphold the highest standards of the Defense Department.
