Vote NO to Blanche's confirmation. Stop new rule that overrides BOP guidelines.

Vote NO to confirm Todd Blanche and work to strike down this new rule that allows the AG to override existing Bureau of Prisons (BOP) safety classification standards within the federal prison system.
This leaves Acting AG Blanche and future Attorney Generals to abuse their position.
In May the Justice Department quietly rewrote one of the most consequential rules in the federal prison system. It hands the Attorney General the power to personally decide where any federal prisoner in America serves their sentence.
If you are convicted of a federal crime, the question of where you do your time is not a small one.
It is the difference between a minimum-security camp and a maximum-security penitentiary. It is the difference between a prison an hour from your kids and one two time zones away.
Under the rule that just changed, that decision can now be made by one political appointee, Todd Blanche.
This means Acting Attorney General Blanche could have undue power over the lives of prisoners.
He could choose to go after people who have opposed Trump.
This could look like moving people who touched floating paint in the reflecting pool in maximum security prisons. It could mean the same for someone convicted for something as simple as protesting ICE.
Blanche could also be directly responsible for letting Trump's allies off easy, or getting someone to not turn state's evidence against Trump in exchange for a posh location.
This policy was directly liked to the August 2025 transfer of Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell to a lower-security facility, often referred to as "Club Fed".
Sex offenders are typically excluded from minimum-security camps, but this law allows the AG to override existing Bureau of Prisons (BOP) safety classification standards.
