I’m writing to urge you to oppose the Trump administration’s attacks on immigrants and conduct public oversight investigations into the conduct of ICE agents and conditions of detention facilities. ICE raids are terrorizing communities across the country, violating due process rights, and subjecting innocent people to extremely inhumane treatment. It won't be long before we hear about raids on Minnesota just like California and New York. All people in this country deserve to be treated fairly and humanely no matter the circumstances. This means due process for all and really go after only those accused of serious crimes as Trump promised in the beginning. I expect you to hold this administration accountable for their authoritarian tactics. Thank you for your time and consideration.
