Dear Representative Haridopolos,
I’m writing to you as a Florida resident and a social worker in the nonprofit sector. I see every day how difficult it already is for families to access basic necessities like food and healthcare. The “Big Beautiful Bill” will only make that harder.
I know you’ve championed the Taxpayer Protection Plan and the importance of fiscal responsibility. I respect that commitment. But cutting programs like SNAP and Medicaid doesn’t protect taxpayers—it harms our most vulnerable neighbors: the elderly, low-income families, and children who rely on these programs for survival.
Food and healthcare should not be considered optional or negotiable. They are fundamental human rights. If this bill passes, more Floridians will go hungry, get sick, and fall through the cracks.
Please vote NO on the Big Beautiful Bill. I urge you to let compassion lead alongside responsibility. We’re counting on you to protect not just taxpayers—but people.
