Do you have any spine or will you all roll over as the Trump administration arrests elected mayors and sitting congresspeople of the opposing party on “Trumped up” charges? You’ll passively sit by as the Trump administration has serious discussions about suspending habeas corpus and ignores due process? As you Conservatives love to remind us, the United States is a Constitutional Republic. What good is this form of government if the President and his minions can burn down the architecture of the document that holds this union together? Your JOB is to serve the people, not the President. You swore to uphold the constitution, which enshrines these ideals as the backbone of American freedoms. Please DO THE JOB OF CONGRESS and CHECK THE EXECUTIVE. NOW is the time, before the bloodshed begins. Before the country falls to authoritarianism. Before the union crumbles. Or you’ll oversee the destruction of one of the greatest countries the world has ever know. This will have happened on YOUR watch. NOW IS THE TIME.
