Invest Billions in Americans, Not Foreign Wars

To: Rep. Maloy, Sen. Lee, Sen. Curtis

From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT

March 27

Vote no on military intervention in Iran and redirect that spending to Americans who need it. If this government can spend a billion dollars a day on war, it can spend a billion dollars a day fixing our problems at home. We've burned trillions in Iraq and Afghanistan with nothing to show for it except dead Americans and broken communities. Meanwhile, our infrastructure crumbles, families can't afford rent or healthcare, and entire towns have been abandoned by an economy that doesn't work for working people. Iran is not an imminent threat to American soil, and another Middle East war won't make us safer or more prosperous. Imagine what a billion dollars a day could do here. That's new bridges, affordable housing, drug treatment programs, job training, and support for the Americans this government has left behind. Diplomacy costs a fraction of what bombs cost. Choose Americans over endless war.
