Oppose/Veto AZ SB 1002, 1003, 1256, and 1687.

To: Rep. Keshel, Sen. Leach, Gov. Hobbs, Rep. Volk

From: A constituent in Tucson, AZ

February 9

I am writing to voice my strong opposition to Arizona S.B. 1002, S.B. 1003, S.B. 1256, and S.B. 1687. These bills represent harmful and discriminatory attacks on the LGBTQIA+ community, especially transgender and intersex individuals, and strip thousands of Arizonans of vital protections they deserve. These bills are not only unnecessary but also cruel. They target an already vulnerable population, attempting to undermine their rights, dignity, and access to essential resources and care. By advancing such legislation, we risk further marginalizing members of our community who already face significant barriers and discrimination in their daily lives. Rather than using legislative resources to harm people, I urge you to focus on policies that unite us and address the urgent needs of our state - such as improving our education system, addressing the housing crisis, and strengthening our economy. Arizona thrived when we lift one another up, not when we tear communities down.
