Block the multibillion-dollar Lukoil oil deal tied to Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff's business associates before it poisons any chance of a real peace in Ukraine.
Todd Boehly, who donated $2 million to Trump's political causes, and business partners connected to Kushner and Witkoff's families stand to benefit from this deal. That is a conflict of interest that should disqualify these men from leading these negotiations entirely.
The deeper problem is strategic. Kushner and Witkoff are treating this war like a geopolitical real estate transaction. Putin is not. For him, this is an existential campaign to erase Ukrainian statehood and rebuild the Russian Empire. No amount of deal-making will stop that.
The only thing Putin respects is force and consequence, and right now he's getting neither. Every concession signals weakness, and weakness invites more war.
Push the administration to abandon this approach. Ukraine's territorial integrity cannot be traded away to enrich Trump-connected investors.
Demand a full ethics review of the Lukoil deal and insist on a strategy that actually confronts Russian aggression rather than accommodating it.
