There are a lot more legal women than illegal voters

To: Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez

From: A constituent in Vancouver, WA

February 27

Let's do a little math. There are around 770,000 residents in Washington's 3rd congressional district. Of these residents, 96% are reported to be US. Citizens by recent congressional data, that's about 30,800 non citizens, including H1 visas, greencard holders, visitors, and illegals. There are about 309,000 households in the district, and 53% of the women in each household are married. To simplify, lets say there is one voting age woman per household, so about that's 164,770 married women give or take. The SAVE act is widely acknowledged to place additional barriers on women with name changes, like married woman. I would like to know why you voted to disenfranchise the voting rights of almost 170,000 women in your district at the expense of a fraction of the 30,800 non citizens who could be voting illegally? How is this "for the people"? I again, ask who you are representing with your votes, and how you can justify harming the majority for the sake of an unproven minority. We didn't vote for your to strip our rights and tell us to smile about it.
