I am writing to urge you to take immediate action to investigate Elon Musk’s actions and protect the data of the American people. Musk was neither elected, appointed, vetted, nor confirmed by the Senate, yet he has been given access to sensitive government data and financial systems in a way that poses a serious risk to national security and the well-being of everyday Americans. His so-called agency, DOGE, was not legitimately created by Congress, and his vast conflicts of interest—stemming from his business empire and questionable ties to foreign governments—should immediately disqualify him from any role in federal operations. Despite this, Musk has forced the Treasury Department to grant him unlawful access to trillions of dollars in payment information, which could directly impact critical programs such as Social Security, Medicare, student loans, and Head Start. This is an unacceptable breach of public trust and a dangerous overreach of power by a private billionaire profiting from government contracts. As my elected representative, I expect you to: Loudly and publicly demand an investigation into Musk’s influence over federal agencies. Ensure he is held accountable to existing government regulations and oversight. Refuse to cooperate with Musk and his team of unconfirmed and unaccountable operatives. Support any effort—legislative, judicial, or executive—to rein in his unauthorized access to government systems. Congress cannot allow a private individual to wield unchecked power over essential federal programs and the personal data of millions of Americans. I urge you to take action now to safeguard our government’s integrity and protect the people you were elected to serve.
