Let’s be absolutely clear: the Big Beautiful Bill is a death sentence for the poor and working class — and you made sure you were protected first. You wrote your congressional pension into the bill. Your benefits are safe. Your retirement is cushioned. While the rest of us? We’re left with nothing. This bill guts Medicaid. It shuts down rural hospitals. It slashes SNAP, leaving children hungry. It strips housing aid, disability support, and healthcare from millions. And it still finds room to hand billionaires even more tax breaks. You saved yourself. You saved the wealthiest. And you sacrificed everyone else. If this bill were about fiscal responsibility, you’d start with cutting your own perks. You’d close tax loopholes. You’d rein in military bloat. Instead, you punched down and called it policy. We are exhausted. We are struggling. And now we’re supposed to applaud you for sparing yourself while gutting us? Kill this bill. Before it kills any more hope that Congress serves the people at all.
