The Supreme Court needs to remain non-partisan and protect the voting rights of all people. We must take action to safeguard voting rights and put in place reasonable constraints on redistricting to prevent these abuses. Potential measures could include establishing truly independent, non-partisan redistricting commissions or enacting national standards to prohibit partisan gerrymandering. Failing to address this issue jeopardizes public faith in our elections and the health of our democracy itself. Protecting the fundamental right to vote and ensuring all voices are heard must be a paramount priority.
