LGBTQ+ people in this country deserve the same legal protections as everyone else, and I expect you to fight for that. Support and co-sponsor legislation that explicitly protects LGBTQ+ individuals from discrimination in housing, employment, and public life. When bills that target this community come to a vote, vote no — every time, without exception. The LGBTQ+ community is not asking for special treatment. They are asking for equal treatment. They are asking for the right to exist without being targeted by laws designed to erase them. That is a basic standard of human dignity.
