I’m a constituent from Johnson County writing with great concern about the unauthorized war in Iran. This unauthorized war has already led to the deaths of U.S. service members and civilians. It has also dangerously destabilized the region. Congress has the constitutional obligation to act immediately. The American people, across the political spectrum, do NOT want another endless war in the Middle East. I’m counting on you as my representative to do everything in your power to stop the president’s war in Iran. That means sharing your public opposition to the war, backing war powers resolutions, and not approving a single dollar to fund the war. The American people are counting on Congress to exercise their constitutional obligation to check the executive power. We need checks and balances to stop reckless interventions and illegal wars in Iran, Venezuela, Greenland, Cuba, or anyplace else. Please represent us and protect service members and their families.
