I want to express my appreciation for signing an executive order to assist Ohio families in the face of losing SNAP benefits. However, helping food banks is one small piece of the puzzle and it is disgraceful to perpetuate the idea that Democrats are the cause of the continuing shutdown. Republicans are trying every day to cause irreparable harm to the fabric of our society with the bills they’re working to pass, and scapegoating Democrats while they are the only obstacle between us and an oligarchy is pathetic. Do better.
