It is deeply concerning to see the President nominating unqualified and divisive individuals like Matt Gaetz and Tulsi Gabbard for crucial Cabinet positions overseeing law enforcement, national security and intelligence. These picks appear motivated by personal loyalty over competence and integrity. Gaetz has been embroiled in scandal and has made inflammatory statements about abolishing entire federal agencies. Gabbard has limited relevant experience for such a sensitive national security role. These nominees could dangerously erode democratic norms, undermine the rule of law, and weaken national security. I urge you to thoroughly vet these nominees and reject any who lack the experience, judgment and commitment to upholding our Constitution and democratic institutions over partisan interests. The American people deserve public servants of the highest caliber who will put country over politics. I implore you to be a voice of reason and patriotism by opposing nominees who are unfit for office and pose risks to our democracy, rights and security.
