I am writing to ask you to oppose Executive Order 14168. I am an LGBTQ+ constituent of yours who has many friends and acquaintances who would be further harmed if this Executive Order were to be approved by Congress. This Executive Order is rooted in pseudoscience. Scientists have found that many individuals' gender and sex do not align neatly in the categories of "male" and "female." Also, those who support such notions proposed by Executive Order 14168 generally do not understand that sex and gender are two different concepts. Transgender, non-binary, and intersex individuals should not have their civil rights torn from them because they do not align with outdated notions of gender and sex. Mr. Trump is operating under the notion that if he and his supporters ignore and hurt those who they aim to harm with this Executive Order, then those individuals must not exist. I suspect that you understand that this false and will choose the morally-correct option of opposing this Executive Order.
