Cut Ties With Flock & Stop the Warrantless Mass Surveillance of SC Citizens

To: Rep. Oremus, Sen. Massey, Gov. McMaster

From: A verified voter in North Augusta, SC

July 29

Flock Safety cameras track every vehicle that comes into view for an entire month, allowing hundreds of law enforcement agencies across the state to access this expansive database without a warrant. This mass surveillance network of automatic license plate readers is a huge threat to our privacy! Automatic license plate reader (ALPR) companies like Flock Safety are quietly trying to build a nationwide mass surveillance system. If there are Flock cameras in our cities, they are tracking, logging, and sharing our movements without a warrant. This is a violation of our privacy and a violation of our rights! We want these creepy cameras out of our neighborhoods and cities! End all contracts with Flock and stop the mass surveillance of SC citizens!
