I am writing to express my support for USAID programs and US foreign assistance. I ask that you take whatever steps you can to preserve and reinstate funding for these (including forcefully opposing any efforts to claw back already-appropriated funding.) I would strongly support Congressional steps to reverse the administration's decision to dismantle USAID and to continue funding for vital foreign assistance programs; these are part of our identity as a nation, and a single person or small group of people do not have the authority to change that.
