Prove That Your Constituents Support This Bill
To: Rep. Simpson
From: A constituent in Pocatello, ID
July 2
Dear Representative Simpson,
I am writing to express my strong opposition to the so-called "Big Beautiful Bill" that you have publicly supported. I recently received an email from your office promoting the bill, along with a survey asking constituents whether they support or oppose it. What I find deeply troubling is that your office has chosen not to share the results of that survey. If you truly represent the people of your district, you should be transparent about where we stand.
If the majority of your constituents oppose this bill and you vote in favor of it anyway, that’s not representation—it’s disregard. You owe it to the people you serve to be honest and accountable for your decisions, especially when those decisions carry serious consequences.
Let’s be clear: this bill looks like a handout to the wealthy at the expense of low-income Americans. By limiting access to health care measures that doctors prescribe, this legislation undermines the health and dignity of people who are already struggling. If you vote for it, you are actively choosing to hurt vulnerable families so that the wealthy can benefit even more.
I urge you to reconsider your position and listen to your constituents. And if you truly believe in the bill, then have the integrity to share the survey results publicly so we can all see where the people stand.
If the people you represent support this bill, PROVE IT.
