Many fired employees were tasked with critical roles like managing nuclear weapons, overseeing air travel safety, and investigating Musk's companies. Their dismissals appear politically motivated and personally vindictive rather than aimed at fiscal responsibility. Attempts to quickly rehire some workers underscore the layoffs' recklessness. This destructive overreach of executive power, providing tax cuts for the wealthy at the expense of a functioning government, cannot stand. I urge you to oppose any spending bill that fails to include binding protections for federal workers and measures to rein in this administration's lawless actions dismantling agencies. Uphold your constitutional duty to serve the people, not billionaire interests.
