I cannot believe the harm being done to our country and our people by this corrupt government. I cannot believe so many Republicans would facilitate this horror we are living through. I am a registered independent and have plenty to say about the democrats but they aren’t the ones in power…you are. How can you support a bill that slashes healthcare for millions of Americans in order to give billionaires tax cuts? 800,000 children stand to lose their healthcare. How can you cut food stamps to food insecure Americans to pay for tax cuts for billionaires? Do you really think people who can’t afford healthcare or food should just die? Is this why you ran for office? To hurt the USA and her citizens? I live in Asheville NC and our FEMA aid was cut as we were trying to rebuild after Helene. What the hell are we paying taxes for?!? Are we just paying you to take money from the poor to give to the rich while you destroy our environment and cut regulations that protect our air food and water? How can you live with yourselves? How do you sleep at night? My 20 year old son is disabled due to multiple autoimmune diseases including type 1 diabetes and I fear we will not be able to afford his healthcare without medicaid. How can you put the American people through this? I feel we are being terrorized by our own government. And on top of it you are selling off our public lands and attacking our National Parks. I’m absolutely devastated by the horrors you all and Donald Trump are committing against our country and our people. AND you all are kidnapping people off the streets without due process and sending them to foreign countries known for human rights abuses. And your policies not only do not address climate change, they hasten the demise of our civilization. I grow food on my homestead. Do you know it’s already harder to grow food because of climate change? Where are the mature rational compassionate adults? You call yourselves Christians and do the exact opposite of what Jesus preached. “What you do to the least of us you do to me.” You have the opportunity to be a hero or a villain in this moment. History will not forget. We are paying attention. I hope you choose the righteous path. DO THE RIGHT THING!
