Hold Perpetrators In the Epstein Files Accountable

To: Rep. Subramanyam, Sen. Kaine, Sen. Warner

From: A verified voter in Sterling, VA

February 1

As your constituent, I encourage you to use your authority in Congress to do whatever possible to hold people in the Epstein files accountable. We cannot trust the DOJ to do anything about these grievous crimes. But Congress and federal prosecutors can still help justice be served for those countless victims. I believe the survivors who told us what happened to them. I believe a great deal of what’s in those files is true. And I believe there’s still far worse things that we don’t even know about yet. We have to root out the truth here, for myriad reasons. Not only do the victims deserve our support in this way, but I believe this is a national security issue. If foreign actors, like Russia, have evidence of related wrongdoing by members - or former members - of our government, it stands to reason they could use that as leverage against America’s best interests. And we can’t afford that right now. Plus, how can we possibly be sure action wasn’t already taken against us? Please use whatever tools or influence you have to ensure the full extent of these crimes becomes public knowledge. Ensure that the perpetrators and their accomplices are held accountable in accordance with the severity of their crimes, and that we do not go lightly on any of them, regardless of their former rank, age, etc. And ensure laws are put in place to prevent this kind of lawlessness and cruelty from ever going unchecked for so long again.
