DO NOT CAVE ON THE SHUTDOWN Voting to end the shutdown with nothing but a "promise" from Republicans to revisit the ACA subsidies in December would be a catastrophic miscalculation. You would lose all your leverage at a time when Dems have all the momentum. It also means abandoning your duty of office and your constituents just days after they gave you a mandate. Virginians didn't show up to the polls in the millions because we want you to capitulate. We want you to DO SOMETHING to save our lives and our democracy. Without ACA subsidies, Americans will die. Virginians will die. And you will be telling the administration there is no line they cannot cross.
