House Concurrent Resolution 14 aims to unduly favor the wealthiest Americans, who already pay a disproportionately low effective tax rate compared to their share of national income and wealth. Instead of protecting the ultra-rich, tax policy should be focused on relieving the burden on low and middle-income families struggling with the rising cost of living. I urge you to reject this regressive proposal that would further exacerbate economic inequality and undermine efforts to create a fair, progressive tax system.
