Dear Democratic Members of Congress, Come back to Washington. Now. The President has warned that “a whole civilization will die tonight.” Iranian civilians are forming human chains around power plants. Legal scholars say targeting civilian infrastructure is a potential war crime. American troops are dying. Gas is $4.11 a gallon. We don’t need statements. We don’t need tweets. We need you standing together on the steps of the Capitol, in front of cameras, saying plainly what the facts require. The American people marched in the millions last Saturday. We are paying attention. We need to know you are too.
