Make a statement about continued arrests of democratic lawmakers

I’m hugely alarmed and terrified that Brad Lander, the New York City comptroller, was just arrested by federal agents. How many times will this be allowed to happen? How long until it escalates? The now constant arrests of Democratic lawmakers are outrageous and unacceptable. We don’t live in a dictatorship, and, as this Saturday’s protests proved, we don’t want to. ICE is out of control and needs to defunded. Kristi Noem needs to resign, Lander needs to be released, and the arrests need to stop. Please ask Rep. Menendez to make a statement saying as much. Loudly and clearly. Now is not the time for silence or polite disagreement. We need to see an energy that matches the unprecedented nature of this moment. Thanks.
