I am writing as a concerned constituent to urge you to uphold your constitutional duty to provide oversight and accountability at the highest level of government.
I am deeply alarmed by a continued pattern of behavior and decision-making that reflects actions and conduct inconsistent with the responsibilities and standards expected of the presidency. There have been repeated instances of rhetoric, public communication, and personal conduct that undermine the dignity of the office and erode public trust.
In addition, recent military actions against Iran, widely described by lawmakers and experts as acts of war, have been carried out without clear congressional authorization. This raises urgent constitutional concerns regarding the War Powers Resolution and the erosion of Congress’s authority to declare war.
Members of Congress from both parties have expressed concern that these actions may be unauthorized and potentially unconstitutional. Yet meaningful accountability has not followed.
At what point does Congress fulfill its obligation to act?
We are witnessing:
• A pattern of conduct that disregards established norms and expectations of presidential behavior
• Escalating military engagement without clear authorization
• A continued breakdown of public trust in leadership and institutions
This is not a partisan issue. It is a matter of constitutional responsibility and the preservation of democratic norms.
I am calling on you to:
1. Publicly demand full transparency regarding U.S. military involvement with Iran
2. Support or initiate hearings into the legality of these actions
3. Uphold your constitutional duty to check executive power, including pursuing impeachment!
Silence and inaction are not neutral, they are complicity.
The American people deserve accountability, transparency, and leadership that respects the Constitution.
