I am outraged by your decision to vote with Republicans on the continuing resolution. Your statement defending this choice is hollow and insulting to the intelligence of Nevadans. You claim to be protecting families from a shutdown, but in truth you handed Republicans a victory and legitimized their strategy of hostage-taking. That isn’t leadership — it’s capitulation. You cannot claim to fight for health care, working families, or equality while simultaneously empowering the very extremists who are dismantling them. By siding with Republicans, you told Nevadans that your political comfort mattered more than our future. You did not prevent pain - you prolonged it by emboldening a party that thrives on governing through cruelty. Do not think for a second that Democratic voters will forget. Even though your seat is not up for years, you have invited a primary challenge, and you will have to explain to every grassroots donor and volunteer why you caved when it mattered most. Nevadans deserve courage and conviction from their Senator. Instead, you gave us excuses and weakness. That betrayal will not be forgotten.
