Reject punitive tax hikes harming average Americans

To: Sen. Smith, Sen. Klobuchar

From: A constituent in Minneapolis, MN

March 14

As an educator, I am deeply concerned about the proposed spending bill that includes massive tax hikes for average Americans. This measure would place an undue burden on hardworking families and individuals who are already struggling to make ends meet in the face of rising costs of living. Such excessive taxation could have severe consequences, limiting the ability of households to afford basic necessities, save for the future, or invest in their children's education and overall well-being. I urge you to reject this legislation and instead pursue more equitable and sustainable solutions that do not disproportionately impact those who can least afford it. Our communities and the nation as a whole stand to suffer if this misguided bill moves forward. Please prioritize the financial security and prosperity of everyday citizens by voting no on this punitive tax measure. Sound fiscal policies should aim to uplift, not impoverish, the very people you were elected to represent and serve.
