Vote NO on the budget

To: Sen. Tillis, Sen. Budd, Rep. Foushee

From: A constituent in Apex, NC

April 9

I am writing to ask you to vote NO on the upcoming budget proposal. This proposal sets the table for major cuts that would advance the Trump administration’s extreme pro-billionaire, anti-family agenda. The proposal will decimate Medicaid and SNAP and drive up the cost of care, groceries, housing, and education to help billionaires and increase the debt ceiling. Through this proposal you are forgoing a critical opportunity to build a tax code that works for women and families—one that brings in the revenue that could pay for what people really need right now. A budget is about priorities, and this budget doesn’t prioritize everyday Americans and the majority of your constituents. The ultra-wealthy do not need more tax breaks, but women and families need health care, food, housing, education, and child care. Vote NO and stop abdicating your power to power hungry interests that do not care about your constituents. Vote NO and protect average working Americans.
