I understand that Rep. Gomez has introduced a bill called the Make Housing Affordable and Defend Democracy Act. The bill number is H.R. 6390. This legislation would take the 175 billion dollars given to ICE and put it instead towards making housing affordable for working Americans. I want the Congressmember to co-sponsor it. I can’t begin to express my fury that ICE, which is terrorizing our communities and committing crimes against humanity, is so heavily funded while our communities are struggling to keep a roof over their heads. It’s wrong and it’s got to change.
