This is the time for Universal Healthcare. I would like to encourage you to seize this moment to make a strong push for Universal Healthcare. The assassination of the United Healthcare has brought up the many frustrations people have with denied coverage, obscenely compensated healthcare CEOs, and the high cost of administering health care. There are many ways this can be framed as a bipartisan issue. First, many people have recently become aware that Obama care (which they don't like) and the ACA (which they do like) are actually the same thing. Seize this moment to present Universal Healthcare as a way to make the ACA better for everyone. Secondly, with a push towards efficiency you can present a plan that reduces the administrative costs of healthcare overall. A smart implementation could preserve many of the needed jobs while reducing the costs of executive pay and the costs of denying coverage. Next, Universal Healthcare would be a huge benefit to small businesses and innovation. So many people are tired of large corporations controlling their lives but can't leave to pursue their best ideas because of the high cost of healthcare. This is also a moment where the threats to Medicare, Veterans healthcare and the ACA are bringing a new awareness to this issue. I encourage you to take advantage of this time to push this issue forward and help us catch up to other industrialized countries.
