I am writing today to voice my concerns regarding the Trump administration attempting to privatize the USPS. This news comes shortly after the firing of the entire Postal Board and placing the agency under the control of the Commerce government.  The Postal Board of Governors cannot be legally dismissed without cause, and Trump's attempt to override the system (yet again) is an illegal takeover that threatens things like mail- in voting which would majorly affect those that are elderly or disabled and unable to vote in person. Additionally this threatens veteran's jobs and the public's ability to receive an affordable mail service. Privatization could result in a significant price hike, post office closures and slower mail especially in rural areas (most Iowans).  Not to mention this could affect 635,000 workers (including nearly 100,000 military members and veterans). Why do you support this priviation if you do?  Please act now to prevent this blatant power grab and ensure the USPS remains independent, affordable and accessible to all Americans.
