Support the Take Care of America's Veterans Act

To: Sen. Moody, Rep. Moskowitz, Sen. Scott

From: A constituent in Pompano Beach, FL

July 2

Vote yes on the Take Care of America's Veterans Act. The VA has proposed a rule that would divert between $19 billion and $58 billion in veteran funds straight to the U.S. Treasury. That money belongs to veterans. TCAVA redirects it to veteran programs before it disappears — and the American Legion, alongside a coalition of 23 veteran organizations, is demanding Congress act now. TCAVA combines more than 60 veterans-related bills into one package: expanded suicide prevention programs, better care for traumatic brain injuries, relief for combat-injured retirees through the Major Richard Star Act, and real support for family caregivers of wounded veterans. The VA has not withdrawn its proposed rule despite objections. If TCAVA fails, none of these reforms happen and billions vanish. Pass it.
