I would like to register my disappointment and disgust with the comments made by Senator Moreno concerning the assassination and assassination attempts of Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses. Besides spreading lies about the identity and political leanings of the shooter, Senator Moreno further inflamed the violent rhetoric surrounding politics in our nation, especially coming from the right. The Senator should be ashamed of his behavior which is beneath someone in his position. At least your colleague, Sen John Husted had the decency to offer his condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Minnesota. For someone who where’s the mantle Christianity, Senator Moreno‘s behavior does not seem very Christlike. I expect Sen Moreno to extend his condolences and apologize for his false accusations of who was to blame for this heinous act.
