Another example of Trump weaponizing the DOJ. The DOJ subpoenaed several NY Times reporters after they used their 1st Amendment rights to report on concerns regarding Trump's illegal gift of a Qatari donated Air Force One. Trump continues to deploy his private police (a weaponized DOJ) to try and prosecute those who he perceives have wronged him. Trump's intimidation tactics are to try and undermine freedom of the press and to scare us from speaking freely and openly. Americans are allowed to speak out against the Trump regime and to report concerns. Trump will not silence us. Congress MUST start doing their jobs of providing checks and balances on this unhinged retribution regime that Trump has going on. We are protected by the 1st Amendment and the Republicans in Congress know this. Start acting like you remember your oaths to the Constitution. Start acting as if you care about your jobs and your loyalty to our country and our Constitution. Trump is not a king. He is not a dictator. He may think he is, but he is not and the fact that Congress has decided to roll over and allow his behavior is appalling. Do better, Congress.
