I am writing to you today to urge you to not support the "big beautiful bill, " which should be called the fat ugly bill. This bill will directly hurt the over 3 million North Carolinians on Medicaid, about a full quarter of our state's population of 11 million. As if that wasn't bad enough, it would decrease the already abysmally small restraints the courts have against the executive branch, turning our MAD PRESIDENT into a MAD KING. America was literally founded on the idea that no man shall be its king, and no woman its queen. History will not look kindly on those who throw their own voters under the bus to appease a man drunk on power and money. DO RIGHT BY THE PEOPLE OF NORTH CAROLINA AND THE UNITED STATES AND VOTE AGAINST THE FAT UGLY BILL.
