state_all Dear Governor DeWine, I am writing to you today as a concerned Ohioan who cares deeply about the health and well-being of our communities. Access to vaccines is one of the most effective tools we have to prevent the spread of serious illness, protect vulnerable populations, and keep our state moving forward. Ensuring wide and equitable vaccine access is not only a matter of public health but also of economic stability and community resilience. When individuals have reliable access to vaccines, fewer people get sick, families are spared hardship, schools and workplaces can remain open, and our healthcare system is not overwhelmed. This benefits everyone—urban and rural communities alike. Your leadership during the pandemic was admirable and led to saving thousands of lives in Ohio. The current HHS Secretary is leading us down a dangerous path that endangers our entire country. Aside from being a former heroin addict, conspiracy theorist and someone who leaves dead bears in city parks, I think following the doctors and scientists is the obvious choice. His dangerous decisions are affecting all of us. My daughters and myself have been denied the COVID vaccine today. We have several dear family members and friends in our family that are immunocompromised. Denying us the ability to help keep them safe is a travesty. Ohioans deserve confidence that regardless of their income, location, or background, they will have fair access to life-saving vaccines. I implore you to NOT go the way of Florida and preserve your legacy as a governor who protected the people of his state, not enabled misinformation, lies and conspiracies to harm it. I urge your administration to prioritize vaccine access for all Ohioans and to expand programs that ensure vaccines are available and affordable for everyone. By doing so, you will help protect the health of our citizens and strengthen the future of our state. Thank you for considering this request.
