Cut Funding to Elon Musk

To: Rep. Wittman, Sen. Warner, Sen. Kaine

From: A constituent in Glen Allen, VA

February 22

Billionaire Elon Musk has serious conflicts of interest. He has received around $15-$20 Billion from government contracts. While he is working to cut millions of jobs for public servants and cut benefits for the people most in need, you can be assured that he will continue to receive his billions from the federal government. These elected and appointed Billionaires do not have the best interests of ordinary people in mind. When did we become a nation that idolizes billionaires who made their wealth by putting profits before people? The actions of the last couple weeks leave me extremely concerned for ordinary Americans. The people in charge are dismantling the federal government to reduce spending but the group in charge of making the decisions on what stays and what goes has extreme conflicts of interest and have not historically exhibited any philanthropic tendencies or empathy and concern for everyday humans. Occupying Mars is not anywhere on my priority list for my children. Healthcare, jobs, and lifting up communities so they are not desperate is my concern. Please do whatever is needed to protect everyday Americans, not the billionaires.
