Don’t cut Ohio’s public libraries! Don’t cut my library! Restore the Public Library Fund (PLF) to 1.75% of the GRF. My family uses the library all the time. When my son was young, we would regularly attend programs for toddlers to help him socialize with others and build important pre academic skills to get him ready for school. As an elementary school student, we regularly visit our local branch to borrow books and learn how to search the database. I use the library’s online app to read almost all of the books I borrow. The local native plant community I belong to uses the maker space in our library to help create materials to pass out to people at our events to spread the word about how great native landscapes are. Cutting any of those services would be so detrimental to my family and community. As a Hamilton County resident, our library system would be hardest hurt by this budget cut.
