During President Trump's first term, his policies didn't really negatively affect Americans until he screwed up the pandemic response. Rest assured that ordinary Virginians are feeling the effects of Trump's attack on Venezuela. Currently I have one colleague who can't get back to the US because her flight needs to use Caribbean air space. A second acquaintance runs a travel business and now has to cancel trips. That's two people I happen to know in the small city of Harrisonburg. I cannot imagine how many people state-wide are experiencing negative affects from this.
