house I’m writing to ask you to support the Sepulveda Pass Heavy Rail option for connecting the valley and the westside on the LA Metro system. As a representative that has supported mass transit infrastructure in the past, I am confident that you are the best person to help secure funding and passage of a much needed rail line that runs through your district. Creation of this heavy rail line under the Sepulveda pass will surely benefit students, workers, and businesses in the area, by giving them an alternative to driving along the 405 to get to work or school. In addition, this will help Los Angeles and the United States meet its climate change goals of reducing transportation emissions. I urge you to support the heavy rail line that is under consideration. The monorail is a half baked alternative that should not in any circumstance be supported by your office.
