American lawmakers have stated that pressuring Ukraine to accept such imbalanced terms risks signaling weakness and could embolden further aggression. 3. Many argue that the United States’ role in defending democratic values and the rules-based international order is at stake. Endorsing unequal terms or disengaging from Ukraine would harm U.S. credibility and global security interests. As your constituent, I respectfully urge you to: • Assert that any peace agreement must respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. • Oppose any deal that forces unreasonable concessions on Ukraine or rewards acts of aggression. • Support continued U.S. leadership in strengthening NATO’s deterrence posture and ensuring Ukraine can negotiate from a position of strength. • Maintain U.S. foreign policy commitments to democratic principles and international norms.
