I'm writing today to urge you to restore funding for the Affortable Care Act. Ensuring that every American has access to healthcare is vitally important to the strength and well-being of our nation. While imperfect, the Affordable Care Act gave small business owners, people working multiple jobs, and the poor access to healthcare. Access that was pre viously unavailable. If members of Congress are truly concerned about their constituents, and are concerned about the fact that the ACA had flaws, it's time for bipartisan co operation to create a Medicare for all system. lems and puts a greater strain on our overall healthcare system. Removing access to regular healthcare denies people access to routine care and treatment of chronic illness. This creates more serious, acute health prob Patients who receive routine, preventative medical care are less likely to end up in emergency rooms or hospitals. Cuts to Medicaid have already hurt our hospitals and the programs that serve the people most likely to need care. Those costs are passed along to everyone. Never mind the suffering that is caused by denying access to medications and care that patients need. Denying access to preventative care just creates a sicker population. Diseases and illnesses that can be managed or prevented become acute and critical. Restore funding to the ACA. Until we have Medicare for all like other civilized Western countries, the ACA is the next best option. America has fallen. T his is an opportunity to lift us back up.
