We need to protect everyone in Washington State from “legal” ICE agents operating illegally (no visible ID, masks, questionable warrants), as well as from imposters taking advantage of the chaos to rob and kidnap people. We need from you an executive order—at least—or public statement opposing masked, unaccountable law enforcement and ICE coordination. Moreover, confidence in various law enforcement agencies is low, especially with sheriffs declaring that they unlawfully stand against our state’s sanctuary policy. You must call them out forcefully. Be an example for the nation of how Democratic leaders stand for justice, dignity and safety.
