As a constituent in Johnston County, I demand an immediate explanation for how and why Elon Musk—who is not a U.S. citizen, has never been elected, has not completed a mandatory background check, and holds no applicable security clearance—has unlawfully acquired access to our Treasury Department’s payment systems and classified SKIF information. This is a blatant and egregious national security risk, a violation of federal law, and an unacceptable breach of congressional and constitutional oversight. Elon Musk’s foreign ties are well-documented, and his access to sensitive U.S. government infrastructure raises serious concerns about potential foreign influence and cyber vulnerabilities. His unauthorized connection of government servers to external systems has already resulted in security breaches, and now he is gaining access to classified intelligence. This is illegal, unconstitutional, and threatens American sovereignty. As my representative, I expect you to publicly demand answers to the following immediately: 1. Who authorized this access, and under what legal authority? 2. Why was Musk not required to pass a background check or obtain security clearance before accessing classified information? 3. Why is a non-citizen being given unprecedented control over U.S. financial and intelligence systems? 4. What measures are being taken to remove unauthorized access and prevent further breaches? This is not a partisan issue—it is a matter of national security and constitutional integrity. Allowing an unelected, unvetted foreign national to gain control over critical U.S. systems is an act of negligence at best and deliberate compromise at worst. If Congress does not take immediate action to investigate and correct this situation, every lawmaker who ignores this breach will be held accountable by voters, including myself and many others who demand responsible leadership. I expect a direct response outlining your position and the specific actions you will take to protect American security. The people of this district—and the country—deserve answers.
