Habitat for Humanity under fire?!!! I read today that Trump and his minions are having the FBI start a criminal investigation, that’s right, criminal, for fraud of Habitat for Humanity because they received a grant from the EPA to support their work. I have worked on a Habitat house and I wouldn’t be surprised if you might have as well. They are one of the least controversial organizations I can think of. They build houses for those who would otherwise not be able to afford a home and help people on their way to housing and financial security. More over, the recipients put in sweat equity on their homes. A work requirement that should appeal to you republicans. I am sure that Habitat applies for grants from every potential source and since the EPA grant was approved by the prior administration that it would be hard to consider it illegal. It continues to boggle my mind at how incompetent, vindictive, capricious and callous this administration proves to be and how feckless congress has proven to be at standing up for their constituents. What Trump and his surrogates are doing is becoming more and more unpopular and he will drag you down with him. In the end, he will leave the field, that is if our democracy is still intact, with billions from his corrupt behavior and leave you to face the voters alone and our nation in tatters.
