Americans want social security preserved. NO CUTS ALLOWED!

Social Security is a vital program that provides essential income for millions of retired and disabled Americans. Cutting benefits would undermine the financial security of our most vulnerable citizens and go against the will of the American people. According to a recent AP-NORC poll, two-thirds of Americans believe the government is spending too little on Social Security, not too much. Rather than cutting this crucial safety net, we should explore responsible solutions to ensure its long-term solvency, such as adjusting the payroll tax cap or implementing modest benefit reforms for higher-income retirees. Slashing Social Security would betray a core American value of caring for our elderly and those in need. I urge you to reject any proposals that would erode this vital program and instead work to strengthen it for future generations.
