As stated in this morning’s Colorado Sun, “Founded in 1946, the Fulbright Program was built on a simple idea: cultural exchange as a tool to build mutual understanding between countries. On June 17, Colorado U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert introduced Amendment 110 to the 2027 State Department funding bill, moving to eliminate $287.8 million in federal funding.” Cutting soft power programs weakens US influence abroad and diminishes international relations. Please vote against the Boebert amendment.
